Luntiang Kabataan: Linis, Tanim, Aral para sa Kalikasan

The Rotary Club of Cabuyao Circle proudly participated in “Luntiang Kabataan: Linis, Tanim, Aral para sa Kalikasan,” a meaningful environmental service project held on June 11, 2026, at Marinig National High School, Brgy. Marinig, City of Cabuyao.

This project was RCCC’s partnership participation in the multisectoral environmental community engagement activity organized by the City Government of Cabuyao, through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, in partnership with the Cabuyao River Protection Advocates (CaRPA).

With the theme “Empowered Youth in Nation Building and Environmental Management,” the activity gathered students, YES-O officers, environmental advocates, civic partners, and community stakeholders for a morning of action, learning, and shared commitment to environmental protection.

The program began with the assembly and registration of participants, followed by the first phase of the activity: cleanup and tree planting. Participants received safety and tree planting orientation before proceeding with the actual cleanup and planting activities. The presence and energy of the youth made the activity more meaningful, reminding everyone that caring for the environment must begin with awareness, participation, and hands-on involvement.

The second phase focused on environmental education, with lecture-discussions on important topics such as liquid waste management and proper sanitation, household hazardous waste management, ecological solid waste management, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. These sessions helped deepen the understanding of young participants on how everyday actions affect the environment and how they can become responsible stewards of their communities.

For the Rotary Club of Cabuyao Circle, this project was more than just a one-day environmental activity. It was an opportunity to stand with local partners in promoting cleaner surroundings, greener spaces, and a more environmentally conscious generation. Through Luntiang Kabataan, RCCC reaffirmed its commitment to service, youth empowerment, and environmental stewardship.

We extend our sincere appreciation to CaRPA for opening this opportunity for RCCC to be part of a meaningful and community-centered project. We also thank the City Government of Cabuyao,
CENRO, Marinig National High School, participating schools, YES-O officers, and all partner organizations who contributed to the success of the activity.

Most especially, we recognize and thank the RCCC members who joined and gave their time, presence, and support. Their participation reflects the heart of Rotary service—showing up, working together, and helping create lasting impact where it matters.

The participation of the Rotary Club of Cabuyao Circle was headed by PE Rosalie “Ros” Laz, together with club members Perry Crescini, Glo Hernandez, Michael Dizon, and Aida Hermano, whose presence and support reflected the club’s active commitment to environmental service and community partnership.

Through projects like Luntiang Kabataan: Linis, Tanim, Aral para sa Kalikasan, RCCC continues to support initiatives that inspire action, build awareness, and help create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Cabuyao for the next generation.
